Well - depending on what Rolex, it's actually realistic. But even then - there are plenty of watch brands out there that cost just as much a Rolex or even way less but are of an even higher quality and innovation.
Comparing the Rolex Submariner with the Breitling Superocean or Superocean Heritage.
The Superocean has a unique design, costs way less and has an indestructible, reliable movement.
It comes with the Breitling Caliber B20, which is basically a Rolex movement, as it's based on the Tudor Caliber MT5612.
And this is just one example. I can name many more brands that are equal if not better than a Rolex. Buying a Rolex is of course buying prestige. Everyone knows what a Rolex is and what it's supposed to stand for. So I can't blame anyone who decides to get a Rolex instead of another brand.
(And yes, I'm a watch nerd.)
