It's quite amazing to see how many people in this community are giving money. Together with others 1000$ in one day. Wow.

There you go man.
I usually don't do charity or any kinds of donations but although that $10 isnt alot. Its better in your pocket for your daughter than in mine.
Stuck a post on Facebook for you as well. Best of luck reaching the goal!

Thanks again everyone for their time, love, and support. The shares have helped us pass the 50% mark and are closing in on the goal. We're still waiting to hear back from the cranial specialist, but they are attempting to talk to their finance department to see if they can accept half of the cost up front and order the helmet. The remaining balance would be placed on a payment plan. Our application to the non-profit was received and processed. It will be reviewed after the 1st by their board and we will receive their decision within 1-2 weeks. They already stated that they will not pay for the helmet, but they might be able to pay a portion.
Apparently this problem is effecting many people right now. Being that many of us are poor and on medicaid, their decision to not cover one of the more common skull deformities that effects roughly 1 in 10,000 children is simply disheartening. The fact that the initial charge for a corrective helmet was 5,000 is also insane, knowing that the material cost of such a helmet is going to be less than 200, and if you factored in all of the little math like electricity to the machine and the paycheck of the workers, the cost wouldn't exceed 500. So a 1000% markup on a helmet that could help a child's skull and brain develop.... Frustrating.
Anywho, my fiancee and I have decided that writing the names of every donator on her helmet is an awesome idea. I'd write the name of the shares too, but this is a child's helmet, it wouldn't fit and I wouldn't know where to begin finding all the names. Probably not going to be super fancy, but I figure some markers or some model paint should work.
Thanks again everyone for your time, help, support, shares, donations, and I hope that you never have to go through anything like this in your life. If you do, hit me up and I'll try to help in any way I can.

Jokhah, I came across this post on FL as someone had shared it.
It's not great seeing your kid unwell and nothing you can do to help them. My very own has soent a lot of time in Hospital but we are fortunate to have the NHS here in the UK. And be able to sustain ourselves.
That being said matey, if you need me hit me up on Discord .
All the best

Jokkah. I am unable to donate.
I hope I'm covered in the donation from the LL Community.
You have my deepest condolences and best wishes. Life is hard, yet somehow I have been told that it's gets better. I hope you, your family and your ill daughter will too.
I hope my autism hasn't made me seem self-centered because it does that.
It really is shit for you and the journey for your depression and your daughter's health seems like an endless tunnel like my mental health journey, I hope you see the end. The world needs people like you, who are suffering, because you and all those who have suffered, turn out eventually as better people in this god forsaken world.
That's my speech. Best of Luck.

I'm sad to her about your daughters condition and I do understand the frustration you are going through with your family. I have gone through alot aswell.
I will help you out with as much as I can and I really wish you and your family all the best. Keep looking on the bright side and you will see that everything will turn out good.
I want to thank everybody who shares/donates - you guys are just amazing.

I can't donate myself as any impactful amount that I wish I could donate would be costing far more as the currency exchange is massive.
However, I'd state that I am really sorry to hear you are facing this situation. From what I've seen of you, you always meant well with your actions and you don't deserve the way insurance treated you.
I wish your daughter well, and I'm really happy to see the community getting together to help you.
Keep us updated if you can Jokhah, and I hope everything will work out and actually have no doubt it will!

Been keeping updates rolling out as we have anything. We've reached over 75% of the goal in just 3 days. Shari wrote an update that pretty much sums it up on the gofundme page. So very grateful for all the help and support. The doctors office still hasn't gotten back to us about throwing what we have to get the helmet ordered now and working on payment plans, but they were discussing that internally when we were at 600. Now that we're at almost 1600, with the overall being 1800 estimated, I'm fairly sure they'll work out a payment plan for whatever is left, should we not fully meet the goal.
Some people inquired as to why the goal was a bit over the target amount. Gofundme takes a small % of the overall money generated, as well as around .30 cents per individual donation. The overage is there to cover that cost and any additional tax for her helmet from the doctors office.
Thanks again for all of the shares, we added a few more pictures of her and will keep yall updated with whatever happens next, even after we hit the goal.

To the side of the topic, there is a phone app I've been using to generate money while playing app games on the toilet. Its called "Blast". All you have to do is the missions, do not do any of the weird save while you play crap. You can attach your bank account and have the money generated from doing the "missions" and the leaderboard payout every week which caps at 1,000USD for 1st place.
Most of the missions simply require you to have the specified application open as the primary screen holder for between 10-20 minutes. You don't actually have to play the game in those cases. Some of them involve actually hitting goals within the specified game. Not going to get rich doing it, but on your toilet time you might generate a few extra bucks for gas or something.
According to the reddit reviews, once you send it to your account, it takes 4-6 days to post, but everyone has said that it works perfectly fine without issues. Much better then those "play for coins" to try and get "gift cards" systems, if its available for your area.
P.S. Once a mission is complete, you can remove the specified app from your device. No need to keep a collection or anything, you can even use guest options while doing the missions to avoid cluttering your social media accounts with extra crap.
