I know this isn't the best place to try, but when you're at the point of desperation that I'm at, you'll try anything.  My daughter was diagnosed with a skull deformity that can be corrected by a helmet.  Unfortunately, her insurance is refusing to assist with the helmet because its not one of a selection of specific conditions.  If left uncorrected, her skull will eventually fuse together misformed, causing potential other serious medial issues.

The cost of the helmet was 5,000USD.  We've managed to mitigate it down to around 1800USD.  We're applying for the last possible aid group that we can.  None of the other aid groups will help with corrective helmets, even tho some of them will help if your newborn has a smoking problem.

I know that most of you do not have money, like I don't after eating constant unexpected bills, but if you could just repost this to whatever medium you can, maybe she has a chance.

The soonest I could get her insurance switched to one that can help her will be too late.  I need a miracle.

Whilst I can't put forward money, I wish you all the best Jokhah. It's a shitty thing to happen and I can't imagine for a minute how difficult that is.

So far we've managed to raise 400 towards her helmet.  Thanks to everyone for their time and support.  Words cannot describe how bad I feel being in the position I'm in, but there really isn't anything else I can do.

Thanks everyone for all the help and support.  We've uploaded her cranial scans and the relevant portion of the request for equipment cost estimates in an attempt to be as transparent as possible with the situation.  I cannot put to words how grateful I am for the support I've received.  We've been negotiating with the cranial specialist to see if we can get a payment plan option on the table and we've contacted the only remaining non-profit organization, which informed us that if they receive our application by today, they can get us an answer by next week when they do their review meeting.  We've already faxed the application twice and have been calling repeatedly to confirm they've received said paperwork in hopes of reducing the cost by whatever else we can.

Seriously, thank you all.  I honestly never expected it to work out, but we're already about a third of the way there as it is.

Although I can't offer any money as my job is a bit stingy on shifts, I can give my deepest condolences to you and your family. Best of luck to you, friend. Don't give up, the power of social networking is awesome. Keep going.
