HWAT!?:
Add a pop-up that the vehicle owner must approve before a mechanic can use /customize on a vehicle, similar to the President accepting warrants.

Rough Example- [ CHARACTERNAME would like to customize your current vehicle  Thumbs Up Thumbs Down ]

BOY WHY THE FUCK!?:
Too many times I have gone out to my vehicle, only to find that someone went all XZIBITZ on it. Worse yet, the factory correct paint color I had has been replaced with lime green, and the changes are saved. This suggestion would require me to authorize the changes being saved to a vehicle.

What this would NOT do is prevent temporary changes being made by a mechanic using the Context Menu, so a shady mechanic can still repaint a hot car to throw off the cops, the changes just won't be saved.

Fuck people who do that (Metaphorically not literally)
This suggestion and as well as /revert while looking at cars to load its saved customizations if somebody decides to be a poo head trough context menu

changes made with the context menu save. Only team members have access to non-saving bodygroup modifications.

When did that change happen?

Previously /customize HAD to be used or they would revert next time the car was spawned

That's always been the case. Just half the time the function would break.
Pushing for Staff Review.

Just for clarification after Internet pointed out something I was unaware of-

I would like a player approved /customize to be the ONLY way to save the customization changes.
Approved.
