Do you think having a joke on discord warrants game mode perm?
Joke in question was "ddos server".
If you perm everyone who has a giggle on discord then you'll lose even more players.
Let me know what you think
You threatened a registered company with a DDoS attack. Joke or not, that's how it happened.
What did you expect would happen?

Post the exact message.
Show me and everyone else the way it was said, it was obviously a joke.
Tomasz Metusz Zalasiewicz would disagree.

^ Its common knowledge that even joking you are going to DDoS a server is grounds for a ban. Its like that on just about any game/gamemode really.

But a perm shows a personal element.

You mean Faustie?
DDoS Threats are serious issues with online businesses such as Limelight so due to such they will be treated as threats no matter if they are said in a joking manner or not.
Does it warrant an in-game ban?
Yes, it does, using Limelight's services means that you have read and accepted the TOS and as you were caught breaking TOS you were banned from the use of Limelight's services, as you broke the Acceptable use policy.
Was this justified?
In my opinion, it was, don't expect to make DDoS threats to a company and expect it to be taken as a joke.
This is exactly the same as going into to tesco and exclaiming you will be coming back in 1hr to firebomb the place.
And then being in shock and awe that you either get arrested or barred for life.
Seems like someone is really mad about his ban.

"Should we change the TOS"

What you fail to point out is that you have let others get away with similar, so why am I instantly permed?
Also, your player base is dropping so perming people for jokes is not a good idea.

As friendly as I am with you, the Terms of Service of Limelight Gaming provides the following -
Which does indeed mean it is ToS, whilst I understand that it may have been intended as a joke, DDoS is not only harmful to Limelight Gaming from a financial perspective (potential loss of donations) but also from a community perspective (as members have left in the past due to DDoS, no seriously).
It would be nice to extend the ToS to understand the intent of sarcasm or at least a extreme verbal warning for joking about such matters, as of now, the Limelight Gaming Terms of Services does prohibit such as statement.
I hope this answers your question.

Are we supposed to be impressed you can access public information, that is displayed in an easy to access format so you can read it?
Also maybe leave the detective work to HM Rev & customs, you need a bit of the old grey matter for that is all.
