The time that it will take to "un-colour" everything is not worth it.

I dont know why you are cherrypicking every response I put to a suggestion. I voted -Support and thats my reasoning.

maybe because you still dont get the point of view, if you see someone with a government voicechat color you're pretty much about to hide in your base or something (if you are doing contras), but if you hear someone in text chat, you have no clue who could it be, it makes insability between using voice and chat thus putting one party into a significant disadvantage.

Ofc you have a clue who it could be. Look at the name in the text-chat and press tab.

There is no "huge disadvantage" how you call it.
I don’t think you guys are seeing the bigger picture, it’s a step to remove metagaming. The next would be removing jobs from the HUD, then from the scoreboard etc.

There was a suggestion like this made by Temar (removing jobs from the HUD, scoreboard etc). It got denied.

OT: -support

But if you look at the community support for that suggestion it’s 84% yes, 16% no

it is way easier to just look at color and say "oh hes an officer" than look at his name then find that certain person and then find his name in the tablist, this is ment for those who are new to the game and still strong to the meta, not all noobies would check this indepth.

That seems like a moderation issue. TLDR defining of someones job etc. is always still going to be a thing, regardless of colour its still going to say [Police Announcement] etc etc. You cant really remove metagaming but you can moderate and enforce it if its obvious.

not a staff member is always online and not everyone knows the meta and enforces the rules, not everyone has the neccesary means to own a recording software to record said rulebreakers, staff members dont have million hands to get eyes on every single one who breaks the meta, this could save alot of problems, and by the % of this poll i think people agree with this idea.

With that logic of staff not being on and people not knowing the rules should half of the features be removed ? Makes no sense.
