It's hardly an IC issue. If someone loses their job in real life, they don't go back to the same company at a different role.. so why should it be the same here? Regardless of if it's allowed or not.
Say we have this example company, I am an employee, you are my manager, Steve is the CEO. If you fire me, Steve should be free to give me a job back should he so desire, shouldn't me?
