Staring at a world prop isn’t socializing and shouldn’t be encouraged IMO. We should be implementing more useful ways of socializing.

Staring at a world prop with other people around you and listening to the Evoradio sure sounds like socialising to me when you compare it to sat in a base with nobody around you apart from your mate who went AFK 10 minutes ago to eat his tea

No one is stopping you from doing that. And we shouldn’t be condoning that as a key time of “socializing”. I’d rather see LL work on giving more creative incentives to socialize on a RP server, not a clicking simulator.

Its currently now a "Base Building / Defend your Base" simulator. Is that better ?

No, but currently it isn’t that? Bases are a big part of Aggro RP, but players do have other RP’s to do. I see Passive RP and Gov RP a lot as of recent tbh. If I’m wrong, please show evidence of your claim?

Also, I don’t see your point? I’m asking for us to choose better ways to socialize and not bring up the price of staring at a tree talking sometimes.

Buffing wood will most likely lead to contra-basing+wood cutting. Economy would be entirely destroyed.

Not to mention this already happens ^

If it's not raided for hours upon end that I'd call that a small risk compared to massive amount of money you can make in a couple of hours.

Still more risk than staring at a prop, left clicking, in the middle of a legal action with the slight chance of mugging. And even if you DO get mugged, you lose maximum $500. Hit the tree 10 times and you’ve already made your money back.

Then make a suggestion to increase the limit you can mug at.

I don’t want to suggest that as it isn’t favored by staff (citing from an old Admin Lounge thread, so can’t say much)

Where are the chances higher that you loose your 15k axe by a RDMer or a bad Driver?
Sitting in your Base with 10 Meter high walls and dozens of keypads, or when you Cut Wood in the Open?

That sounds like an issue that can be brought up in an @ Call or PR to refund you. Also, when I cut wood, personally I didn’t run into the issue. Might’ve been that I camped next to it and made an actual RP out of it, but that may have just been me.

Instead of trying to prove each other wrong why don't you just accept the fact you can't agree and move on?
There are plans to overhaul woodcutting based on the addition of a few new in-progress systems, to make it more worthwhile while also adding a little more interest and stopping afk clicking (think Runescape), while also ensuring no-one gets repetitive strain injury this time around...

Some of this is based on internal plans we've had for a while and some on various staff review threads.

As soon as the other party stop asking questions about the other’s side, why not continue the argument? As long as it isn’t getting hostile. Not to mention it seems we did stop.
I'd like to see the wood cutting and contraband to meet half way and be both benificial. Currently I feel Contraband is too high and Woodcutting is far too low. Maybe in the middle ?
