Explain your suggestion, in detail:
I feel like the message you get when ''someone is wanted for an arrest'' is often easily overlooked by myself and others. It could be improved with a simple beep (or short wail and a two-two beep) and a better (preferably red-colored and more descriptive) message, along with a new command to add next to /warrant (playerID) (arrest) and /warrant (playerID) (search).
In short: Make the ALPR system government vehicles often have, useful and recognizable.
In long:
As such, I will give this thread three topics:
Commands;
Re-haul (along with an image I have created as to what it could/should look like for better recognition);
Showcase of improvement.
In these topics, I will quickly go over a few key changes to this system that should definitely be implementable and not hard to do / restrain too much developer time.
In my opinion, at least at this moment, there should be three commands a law enforcement officer should be able to use. These would be:
/warrant (LP/playerID) (arrest) (reason) - This command is already existing and will create a request to place a warrant on someone for their detainment and (if necessary) their arrest.
/warrant (LP/playerID) (search) (reason) - This command is already existing and will create a request to place a search warrant on someone's property and/or vehicle;
/APB (LP/playerID) (reason) - This command is non-existent as of now, but is meant to be a broadcast from one person to all on-duty and off-duty personnel to look out for a person of interest. This could be crime related but also non-crime related.
As such, next to /APB /BOLO or /ATL should also be able to be used for the same reason as the have the same meaning, though, I'd recommend not adding all three of those commands and just sticking to one general one. /APB.
The APB (All-Points Bulletin) is also known as a BOLO (Be On the Look-Out) or ATL (Attempt To Locate). The BOLO is a variant that I use often because it better describes the action you and your fellow officers wish to undertake.
The second thing I want to see improved is the message that gets triggered when you are behind a vehicle (with a government vehicle) who's owner is pinpointed as being a BOLO suspect/subject.
Obviously the message would have been more detailed had the GM allowed us to do so. If it was to be implemented (a more detailed /policedb MDT system) the message would have originally popped up on that as an ALPR alert.
These are two videos showcasing the alert sounds that could be implemented (along with a more descriptive message in the radio) for a better recognizable message regarding arrest warrants, search warrants and BOLO notices:
short wail + two-two beeps
short-medium beep
These alarm sounds (or the ALPR system in general) would, for example, have the ability to be activated and deactivated by using /alpr (on/off)
I hope this explains my intentions about the improvement/re-haul of notices in the radio and that those who often are on the government side of roleplay can agree with this change being necessary.
Feel free to vote which type of support you want to give this (+Support: I often overlook the warning message, too and would like to see a more detailed message and preferably a sound to background it. -Support: I don't have an issue with the current system. Neutral: Please give feed-back on what you think would be a suitable improvement), comment said vote and/or give feedback what should be added, changed or not implemented.
Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:
If this suggestion will be approved, the warning messages the radio comms output to inform a LEO would be less prone to being overlooked by said officer because of a more detailed message and recognizable tone indicating the warning.

Commands
As the first step of the re-haul, I suggest making the commands more useful and divided per category.

Re-haul
The second thing I want to see improved is the message that gets triggered when you are behind a vehicle (with a government vehicle) who's owner is pinpointed as being a BOLO suspect/subject.
I decided to create some images that could be the new message in case you would be lucky enough to find someone in their vehicle wanted for an arrest, search or has an APB pinpoint on them. (praise my Paint skills):
Obviously the message would have been more detailed had the GM allowed us to do so. If it was to be implemented (a more detailed /policedb MDT system) the message would have originally popped up on that as an ALPR alert.
