Set up a system to request a skin for your clan. This will only be able to be accessed by members of your clan.
Why -support then say that? Considering I said this earlier in a reply.
I agree for something of my reply. I -supported the thread, not a reply. A reply is not part of the suggestion until it is put in the original post.

The thread is to add the ability to have custom skins? Which is what you are supporting. Only you are saying to have restrictions to clans which staff would decide on anyhow.

Oh ok, im sorry, I miss interpreted the suggestion. To me, it seemed as if it was suggestion a tool to add custom skins. That is what I was -supporting.

With the restricting to clans, and the skin has to be requested by clan leaders for certain vehicles.

I will detail it in a bit.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that this is for the ability to
A) Use the SubMat tool on vehicles
B) Have clan materials available to apply to vehicles
My problem is with B, because in my experience screwing with custom skins, I learned that there won't be a "One Size Fits All" material for every vehicle. It would be applied differently to each vehicle, and end up looking weird on almost all of them, except the one it was designed on. The only solution would be to rebuild the material for each and every vehicle to prevent it from displaying weird.

I think it should just be a skin, but only for certain vehicles that were requested.
No need to complicate things.
Any unrealistic skins would fall under FailRP.

Aye, skins can be custom made and submitted to a clan officer or developer (either works). Then just like the Clan Models, they can have limits and restrictions but since even a high quality skin from LW is only 1mb it shows that it doesn't take up a lot of space.

A) Only mechanics or staff will have this access for valid roleplay scenarios such as MechanicRP, SecurityRP etc.
B) Yes, on most vehicles if not all do not fit the same. So when requesting a skin, it would either be made for one vehicle or several as long as they have the skins presented. If all are valid and are not giant in file size they can be added.
The max size file for all skins suggested should be about 10mb? Since that is the size for clan models. Maybe even 5mb considering they are not that big.

Only if the system is made accessible to clans only.
Pushing for Staff Review.

I don't think there should be custom vehicle skins, but if their are, it would need to be highly restrictive to access as a clan.
We have discussed adding clan vehicle skins. It's still on the table and being considered. Considering their size, they are not as big of a deal compared to player models.

Well it would be useful for events as well. Say for zombies event, you can have a skin saying "Zombie Control" etc.
