It does not look like you're leaving entirely.
So I just say I hope you join the server sometimes.

I see you being nice to people on the forums all the time, but when a member leaves on a bad term you won't even include "bye" in your message?
lmao
Bye Jokhah
He doesnt need to say anything, he stated his opinion and left it at that. Stop trying to start on everyone

Now now guys let's not get into petty insults here. He wants to leave let him but for both sides please don't start calling each other names, because then it just goes further than it has to

Bruh wtf. If you think the server has an issue work WITH us. If this is a real systematic problem then there are tons of solutions I can think of off the top of my head, instead you’re flaming.
Jokhah you know better than to go on the forum and shitpost about your contra being destroyed, literally what are you doing.
If you’d rather leave because someone blew up your contra than constructively work with us to fix these issues- this community probably isn’t right for you.
Peace

(Nov 9, 2017, 01:20 AM)Jokhah Wrote: [ -> ]When I came to City RP, I expected that it would be like it used to be, where you needed basic reasons or some logic train. Ex: I saw him go in and out a few times, when I followed him I noted he kept going to the weed/meth dealer, he probably has contra of some kind or something of value.
I didn't expect it to be as simple as, "Owned door" Raid, when you have rules restricting various aspects of every other job, like how gov need a reason to raid, or how many jobs cannot raid or do specific activity. The criminals (regardless of what stupid fancy title you apply to it) can do whatever, whenever, for no reason at all. Can't walk down the street acting like a minge, but I can walk down the street and BE a minge to every owned door except Mr.Presidents.
If I had a clique of friends, survival would be easy. As I stay to myself, I'll just keep getting fucked over, repeatedly, as has happened every time I've come on at this rate. I have better odds surviving in Dark RP, where I at least expect that people will do this.
Whats the point of logging on and doing anything if you just get it all taken away by someone who doesn't even set it.
Just salty and logging in just so everyone can just take and destroy my shit isn't enough make me come back. Sorry.
P1: You noted a need for a basic reason and I question how breaking into a home for the sole purpose of theft of property isn't as basic as it can get. This isn't [FL2012] where you needed the most ludicrous reason to even consider breaking into someone's property. You mentioned the problem that comes with meta-gaming, such as looking at a door and seeing that it is owned, which is a problem I too have noticed and had thrown out a suggestion (https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-16583.html) to remove this feature and make a thief put some effort into gathering information on where somebody lives rather than just knowing it is owned due to a "Sold" title being shown on the door. By default, unowned doors should be locked as well.
P2: Government actually needs the smallest of reasons to raid and most of the rules regarding job-related conduct have been removed. You can now participate in AggressiveRP as seen in
Quote:3.7a– All the jobs in 3.7 are meant to provide a service for the city. Do not lock yourself in a contraband room or otherwise seclude yourself from everyone and refuse to do your chosen Job’s task. Additionally, the jobs in 3.7 are not meant to commit crime which is unrelated to their job.
This rule states that you cannot commit crime which is unrelated to your job, however it is at your discretion to what that entails and depending on the situational context this can include a large number of things.
There's also no rule(s) preventing these individuals from having an illegal operation on the side - however as 3.7a states - you shouldn't be spending the majority of your time being locked away to collect contraband money in a way that prevents you from doing your job. This being said, there may be times where this doesn't apply, to the best of my knowledge, and I certainly would run an illegal operation as a Black Market Dealer and depending on my strategy for customer acquisition, I may not necessarily be out on the streets hustling. For me, it's as simple as posting a /note on the in-game phonebooths with contact information and this becomes the only way for individuals to contact me as I do not respond to private messages (/pm) because someone broke RP to get my information from the scoreboard. I'd be managing my contraband operations and the growth of narcotics while also maintaining a proper RP-Zone that people can walk into and convey that this would be a place that you would go to meet-up with your local dealer. There's a huge difference between that level of RP and the contrary being sitting in a basement with contraband and only coming out when you receive a private message that somebody wants something.
It is FailRP to create an obvious black-market store, and in my opinion, I would say the use of /advert to advertise the sale of illegal goods would fall under this as well. That being said, some might take this IC and simply issue an arrest warrant directly after seeing that.
Everything being said, the direction of this server isn't to go backwards in the sense that we would require administrative oversight 24/7 in order to ensure the fluidity of role-playing, whether good or bad. This included loosening the rules regarding reasons to raid, removing the need for players to give an OOC reason for their actions unless asked by a staff member and many other things. I'm also pushing for the removal of FearRP as well in order to get rid of one of the silliest rule structures that has only led to hundreds, if not thousands, of punishments and is one of the largest OOC events that stops a role-play. What is the point of a taser if it's against the rules to run away from one? If I have a pistol on me, what's stopping me from attempting to pull it out when they're not paying attention? This rule can simply be removed with game-features that include a player animation of reaching for a weapon inside your coat-pocket or on your back along with a delay to allow the person with their weapon drawn to visually comprehend that this person is attempting to pull out their weapon. I'm tired and have been for very long of people running around with their weapons drawn on others screaming, "FearRP, FearRP, admin!"
Times are changing and while this is still largely a WIP (Work-In-Progress) I believe going in the direction of less administration is the best option. The biggest thing that disrupts game-play for myself is seeing a moderator/administrator going in the middle of the street to freeze cars/individuals/etcetera and back when there was a need for over-developed RP reasons for certain things as simple as breaking into a home or mugging someone, you'd have the victim always complaining and calling an administrator to the scene to ensure that there was a proper reason - and having to defend yourself and explain the entirety of the situation to the staff member or else you would face some form of punishment. Not interested in that whatsoever.
This being said, I'll be sad to see you leave. You're a long-time member of these communities and while we may disagree on many things, I don't think leaving is the proper solution. We could always use someone that bring a different perspective to the table.

Gotta love the way everyone is being a bit of a dick instead of actually taking his input and feedback into consideration even if you think he's wrong. What a joke
