Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Visually good and had funny scenes, but storywise it was blunt

It was lit. Just saw it. Only thing I had a problem with can be seen below (SPOILERS IN THE SPOILER! YOU WERE WARNED!)
The only scene I had a problem with was when General Organa is shot out of the capital ship's bridge and she uses the force like a fucking tether back to the ship to survive. To me, that was taking The Force a little out of its normality in the universe.
Other than that, everything was top notch. Especially like Elite Praetorian Guard

I feel like it's a good movie to casual movie goers, or non star wars fans. Most people liked the force awakens as well, but it was a hollow story with plot holes.
Have not seen this yes, and from any fans I know, the reports have been that it looks good, the story is shit, and the action can be better.
No big surprise there, oh and it's pg 12 again ;/
Also, I won't be going to any of Disneys Star wars movies if I don't enjoy this one. There is so much untapped potential in that universe, and they just waste it away.

I agree, that was some serious plot armor.

I was afraid I was going to have to buy a lootbox to get a ticket to see the movie, fortunately I was wrong.

I fell asleep for half an hour in the cinema whilst watching it so it was pretty bad.

That makes sense.

It was filled with plot holes, stupid jokes, generic characters, leaving interesting plot points from the force awakens behind, skipping world building - getting back to the generic rebel attitude star wars always returns to.
At the start of the movie it had me going, but knowing Mark Hamill was once again not agreeing with the direction did not inspire much confidence. I had hope it would be different, and better, but it was not. While I enjoyed it more then the force awakens in the early parts, the movie just goes fucking haywire the closer you come to the end.
This was a good opportunity to have a more dark star wars movie, instead we got a terrible movie, riddled with lame ass jokes. It looks stunning just like the force awakens and while a lot of the combat sequences make no sense, they look really good.
I am officially done with star wars - and it hurts to say that as a long time fan, but they are holding onto this concept of rebels and an established order, while there are so many opportunities, stories, novels, books, and ideas yet to be explored. And incredibly lazy and boring writing and screenplay.
Tick the boxes, make it for PG12 and move on. Fuck off Disney, you political correct fucks.
Saying that, Snokes guards where the coolest part of the movie.

Apart from everyone getting evacuated from the cinema half way through, it was pretty good.
But yeah, they have definitely 'disneyfied' it which limited how good it is compared to the older films.

Also now I am going to get into some spoilers.
If you want a creative and unique star wars story, go and play star wars knights of the old republic, while it's a mediocre MMO, it has amazing stories, and if you don't feel like doing that. Have a look at these.
Leia floating through space was fucking stupid as fuck. You would lose consciousnesses within 15 seconds. Alongside many other things that would occur. Now saying she made a "force" buble, would have been plausible in cannon. But how would she ever have learned how to master her powers, this is never explained. Similar to rays magical force powers appearing with the only possible explanation stealing the revan plot of Oh she got mind wiped using the force.
Leia then proceeds to knock on the door, and it is opened, with no air lock, meaning all personnel in that hallway would have been sucked into space.
Of all the star ships there, only one fires at the ship, of all the star ships, most of them hang in the back when the dreadnought is attacked, besides a ship would launch it's fighters to protect it's systems.
The design of a lot of the rebel ships make no sense, and is never explained, let's make our bombers a huge ass slow target. While the whole WW2 bomber aspect of them is cool, they are fucking stupid as hell.
Luke enabling phase made kappa kappa is fucking stupid, unexplained, and it doesn't make any sense in the cannon or lore, and is never explained.
The resistance ships are really that much faster? They can't hyperjump in front of the rebel ships? They can't just dispatch their fighter and bomber fleets? It's plot armor, so much plot armor.
There are references to the campaign of battlefront 2, which well, do I have to say more. (The campaign is fucking stupid as fuck as well, it had it's good moments, but the story is as fucked as star wars is now by mister Micky fucking mouse)
The main issue with the star wars movies is that, we have a bunch of incompetent young directors with no passion for star wars, a massive franchise that has captured so many people, including myself.
Terrible writing, boring stories, boring concepts and boring characters. I feel like they did not decided where to take the story before, that they had to make something up or write something at the last moment. There is a lack of direction, the need to mimic the old stories and still relies on nostalgia to carry it's self through.
I hate this, I hate Disney, and while Star wars was a special franchise to me, it's fucked. Also fucking cringe.
I WANT A DARK STAR WARS MOVIE THAT IS NOT AIMED AT CHILDREN THAT CAN'T EVEN COUNT TO FUCKING TEN. STOP BEING LAZY PIGS, STOP BEING POLITICAL CORRECT, GIVE US SOMETHING WORTH SEEING YOU FUCKS

"It's only a movie, and if you think you're gonna go into the movie and recapture your childhood, you're setting yourself up for a disappointment." -Mark Hamill
