Still these aren't good excuses. You guys need to make an appearance on peak days like Friday or Saturday. Like I've already said, you have a real life that takes priority, but you also have a commitment to these players. If you aren't even able to get on during low hours, it's time to pick someone who can. A bigger team would definitely help pick up the slack.

The problem is, we can't make good staff come along.

I'd much rather have no staff at all, than an over-zealous staff member who might ban me for doing nothing wrong.

I don't know if I'm supposed to say this (it doesn't seem like it could do much harm though), but there already is a time requirement.

Staff are supposed to have 25 hours a month at the very least, and if they don't meet this for a few months in a row they get HR intervention.

Meh, wouldn't hurt to have a larger staff team really. The question then becomes, how many people in this community are fit to become staff. It's not a huge amt. imo.

I could name a dozen people off the top of my head fit for staff

For example , a couple of the teachers, a few players etc. But defo DI.
