When you have a large number of props down you can't afford to label every door with props and you can only have 1 sign that you need a General REP to use. Naming doors is the most efficient way to communicate information regarding things such as the building name, the store name, the room number in a hotel/apartment building, etc. and it fits in just fine with how the gamemode is set up.
If you think text on doors is silly then we might as well remove all pop-up text in game. That way when we have to post a PR we have to just guess who we're looking at since their Steam name will no longer display.

I'm not sure what you're getting at?
I thought you meant with that "we should have a real estate job" or some kind of NPC my bad (if you didn't mean that)

Efficiency < Realism
I believe we simply have different opinions of where the game-mode needs to go. I believe that sacrificing efficiency for a more realistic gameplay experience is ultimately a sacrifice worth taking.
I also appreciate the use of explaining your side with an in-game comparison (store name, room number, etc) however as noted in my original post these can be denoted through the use of a simple /note Room # placed adjacent to the door. Alternatively, we can easily create an in-game feature to approach this in a way that pleases both the people who don't want to see 3D Text and those who don't want to sacrifice efficiency. Though the suggestion is not just about the 3D Text, it's about obtaining OOC information and knowing that a property is owned and who it is owned by, just from looking at the front door.
Your second statement is worded as though the idea of removing pop-up text is far fetched. I most certainly support that above all. You shouldn't be able to look a person's character and obtain their IC information. Certainly there should be something that can be used to determine who that person was in the event a PR is needed, however this can simply be their UniqueID. Any IC information such as character name, description and job-title should not be able to be seen through a Scoreboard or by hovering over their person, at least until this information is received. This simply requires a game feature that changes the way we identify players and learn information and this is done on many other servers. For example stating your full name in local chat would then allow those nearby to know your name or having a physical identification card (Driver's License) that can be shown to individuals and immediately give them your IC name, age, description, etcetera though these would all disappear if their character were to die.
I'm also for removing the pop-up text over vehicles that is irrelevant, such as car type and owner's IC name. This information isn't known by the average joe walking around on the streets and it's the reason we have created a method for police to identify the owner of a vehicle through the police computer.
All in all, you simply have a different outlook on this game-mode than I do. I don't blame you, but I do believe my ideas are generally better and I've only had like 30 suggestions be implemented into the game-mode so it's not like people tend to agree with me

I really want to type out a response but that's a lot of work and neither of us are going to convince the other. I'll just leave it at: I'm picking up what you're putting down and I get where you're going but I personally believe the server is fine as is with its semi-serious nature and relatively quick pace.
