yes
Warn, 1day ban then blacklist as last resort.

Shouldn't be handing out nlr blacklists unless it's a repeat offender

Just don't die or put anything valuable where you might die.
Also staff shouldn't punish players but rehabilitate them. Banning someone is unlikely to change how someone plays the game, sitting and talking to them is. Bans and blacklists are reserved in my books for repeat offenders, players who know they're breaking he rules and so so anyway and those that don't care.
Do you have an alternate method to replace the NLR blacklist?

I hope this wasnt for me when I voted the wrong section by accident
I've never really used the NLR blacklist, so I support removing it.

Besides, it really only affects the player if they die again which makes it kinda redundant after they've waited out their first "time-out".
This punishment is really messed up. I remember recieving these back at FL a multitude of times during my first hours.
It's horrible. Not only does it limit playtime by about 50%, but it also deters newer players from coming back to the LL servers.

+Support removing it.
Denied. This suggestion is unwanted.
As quoted from the suggestions template/guideline.
"Please also take note of what isn't wanted in suggestions. If you think something should one day be changed and it's on this list, you can make a thread in the Discussion subforum and get others' opinions.

-Changes to the Staff, procedure or in-game administration system
We handpick our staff, and believe we have a fair system. If you have issues with a specific staff member, use the Admin Abuse subforum to write a report."
'tis thread be moved and unlocked.
The replacement I put forward is that if you are NLR Blacklisted you simply can not go past the area you died at through the location system, I believe it is possible for that if you cross past certain co-ordinates you can be teleported back until you are no longer in the NLR zone, therefore your punishment is not being able to pass your NLR zone at all such as if you die in the city tunnel you can not get out of the city.
For all the people who have previously voted, are newcomers to this thread, or are following this thread - Please read the original post which contains my proposed solution to this punishment. I'll also write it below for ease.

SOLUTION:
Implement a location-based AFK timer based on if the player crosses into that area. For example, if someone dies in the forest, there could be a red text that appears when you enter the forest that says "You have 10 seconds to leave your NLR zone before receiving a 10 minute penalty". The coding isn't overly complicated, and would actually be appropriate for the violation of the rule.
Issues of the proposed solution:

What if the NLR zone is too close to the spawn area?

What if a cop was killed in Nexus Garage or Jails, at spawn the player would get the warning and would have little time to get out. Especially if there are defences in place in which the player has to get through, or if there's a situation that prevents the cop from leaving the spawn.

Issue with an automatic punishment is that it doesn't take context into consideration.
I mean theoretically 30 seconds is enough time to get out of most areas. You could up the timer to 45 seconds if needed, and if at that point you can't because of a freak accident - That's too bad lol... But I can guarantee that having the option to get out of your NLR zone without being auto-punished is 100% better than what we have.

I actually think blacklists are quite the appropriate reply to people doing something wrong/breaking the rules. It clearly states you cannot deliberately return to an area you've passed away in for the duration of 10 minutes and you willingly and knowingly went back to retrieve your firearm.

I mean, I've done a stupid thing when I first joined Limelight, too. I was arrested as an owner of a lumber company as I was still out chopping wood whilst a lock-down was in effect. A friend of mine decided to break me out as he figured the reason for my arrest was uncalled for and I wasn't of any harm to anyone at that point of time. He came down to the facility and handed me a firearm and we decided to break out together. He had a correct job and job title set, but in the heat of the moment, I had forgot about the fact that I was still a ''Lumberjack | Manager'' and was actually opening fire on responding officers to get myself out of that place.

...Well, until BlackOut tapped me on the shoulder and gave me a weapon blacklist.

I decided it was best to just go with it. I had obviously broken a rule I myself was very aware wasn't allowed. I just let it happen in the heat of the moment and that was definitely a stupid thing of me to do. The point is though, that I knew I did something wrong (just like I assume you know you did something wrong, too) and removing a blacklist (from your record or completely removing it out of the list of available punishments) isn't the way to go. In my opinion, I'd just wait the time out and make sure I'd never do another NLR violation again.
