Update on James Wulf 008:
Release on Friday is very real. He is doing well, his chest looks great. He is ready to go home, bored, was cranky yesterday. Today is all about food. He needs to prove that he can eat without a problem.
If that happens, then he'll get his IV tubes removed from his neck and an xray done on his chest for one last review. So, cross fingers that tonight will be our last night.

ok! We are home, we are settling down after a reunion with the three kids, unpacking and a few random things.
First, I would like to thank you all for your words and support. Even if you weren't on this thread. This forum was my main line to the 'real' world that I checked out all the time, I was always checking up to see what was going on. It helped to keep me going during all the random down time.
We are all happy to be home finally. But, our journey is not quite over. 6 weeks of quarantine, medication and extra care on keeping all the kids from getting sick, doctor checkups for a good 6 months.
And the special case of when, not if the operation fails. Anywhere between 6 months to 30 years, or sooner/later. Who knows. Our only option after this is a heart transplant. Cross fingers this won't be needed until they can just run out to Kinko's and make a 3D photocopy and slap it in.
For now, we can sleep in our own beds. And I'm actually typing this from a keyboard! Yay

Update:
ok, so now that we are back home... we have to adjust to new things. A new Heart Healthy diet which everyone will have to undertake. And the little guy is under a six week quarantine, and his medicine prevents him from any direct sunlight. So, he will be at home for awhile. He cannot get sick during that time.
So, the next six months will be a series of doctor checkups, medicine and a lot of monitoring while the other two kids adjust to things. It is a stress for all five of us. But, we are blessed on how well he is doing, we are grateful.
Now, I've been asked multiple times to start up a GoFundMe page for anyone that might want to help us out during this time. And, I really hate asking for anything. My pride gets in the way. But, for those that do want to help out that way, I took the bait:
GoFundMe
Anything that I do receive will go towards medical expenses, medicine and food for the new diet.
Ultimately, I don't expect anything. This is just in place for those that have already asked and have been thinking about it.
And as always, thank you all.
