As it seems this is an unknown issue with a known resolve towards the teachers.
no other games, i think some other guy on the server had the same problem but it was only when they had been playing for a while
Quick thing, go to Options>Video>Advanced and take a photo of the settings.
Try absolutely purging your addons folder of literally everything, I had a similar problem to this a year or so ago and that might have done the trick.

do i need to go into my game files and remove all addons in there too?
well lets see if it works, i am downloading some addons while joining the server now
works atm, will come back with updates, dont archive it yet
ok my game just kinda crashed...
it still works but the screen shows my open browser and a black box in the top left corner
