Suggestion for in-game.
In detail, explain your suggestion:
Similar to the Arrest Baton and/or the stolen command, I suggest that there is a tool in place to allow for government officials place vehicles on the “Impound” list. It could either be something like the Arrest Baton that Officers can tag the vehicle, or a /impound command is used.
When done, the car is then marked with a “Impound” tag in front of the vehicle’s description, similar to when it is Stolen. Then a message is sent thru the government radio that “Dodge Charger is in need of Impounding at %l.”
Why should this be implemented?
It would aid in eliminating confusion for the government on whether or not a vehicle is parked randomly or the driver was previously arrested and needs towing. It would also allow for more coordination and teamwork as people then tune in and state that they will take care of said vehicle.
Also, other government officials could put in that request. If a Firefighter runs across a burning vehicle or vehicle sitting in the middle of the road for example, they could mark it for towing to get it off the streets.
Plus, this could be the opening for a Towing job down the line. In the future, /impound could be redirected to that position if we have one someday.
Side note: Thanks to Markus for the initial suggestion, for this idea to come forward.
