Creepy ambience? - Nitrogue - May 11, 2016
Hi. I joined cityRP today, and I keep hearing creepy ambience outside (and sometimes inside) city. I installed the hl2 ep2 addons, so that might be the problem. Mounted hl2 too. Tried making music sound 0, but still didn't work. Tried deleting all sounds from hl ep2 addon folder, didn't work. Tried applying workshop 'Sound Fix', didn't work. The sounds look like they would be from hl2, I THINK.

There is ambience throughout the city, but I wouldn't call it "creepy", can you provide a clip so we know more specifically what you mean?

Yea that's all totally normal, always been there since I started playing (atleast for me anyway)

I've never had those; I have some ambience but not so metal-grinding-water-dripping. Sounds to me like HL2 sewer noise or someting.

I already tried applying that 'sound fix' you posted. It didn't work.
Also, if I unmount HL2 from 'games', it still plays some really weird sound. Screetching, whispering and some kind of wind. If I delete hl2 ep2 AND hl2, it doesn't play anything. I mean, no ambient sound. But I need the episode 2 in order to see some props that are normally ERRORs.
