Keeps on crashing - Jeremyapps - Apr 17, 2016
Everytime I try to join Evocity_v3, I crashes before getting into the game. I crash when the loading stops at "Downloading settings/spawnlist/letters.txt". I tried all I can to fix it but it still is not working so here I am hoping that someone can help me out.
*Note* I'm on MAC OS_X.

Try downloading the following:

Place this in
Library - Application Support - Steam - Steamapps - Username - Common - Garry's Mod - Garry's Mod - Settings - Spawnlist

I downloaded the file and put it in the Spawnlist folder and it still is not working.

Hello!
Since i've had a Mac before i'm glad to share some of my knowledge with you.
These steps worked out for me:
1. Start your Garry's Mod (the actual game) -> Addons -> Disable all.
Now, when you've done this i want you to go thru all the addons you feel like you actually NEED to roleplay. (Example, the Limelight contentpacks). ENABLE those addons you might think is neccessary.
Restart Gmod & try to join.
2. Do NOT tab out or even touch your mouse while loading in since it will make the computer work more and that may cause a crash.
3. Don't have other programs on in the background.
Let me know if this worked! If not, feel free to let me know and we'll take this a step more complicated.

I did everything from this topic,
Somethime i can connect to the server and the game random shuts down after a while,
Now i have the problem that it shutsdown on the letters.txt thing

This is extremely weird. Lots of people have experienced such issue. I will look into it but cannot guarantee for a solution, since others don't have those issues.
