They give you more inventory space.
Buy on the market > pick them up > find them in your inventory > press use > enjoy your inventory space

Big Pockets give you 15 more inventory space, medium give you 10 and small give you 5. Medium are the most economical to buy at $25k for 5 market price.

The smallest pockets are technically the most economical; cheapest and they come in smaller increments, so you can buy more specifically. You can buy 10 small pockets if you want the same space as 5 medium pockets for the same price.
