Blue moon: You capture a rare lunar event


The sight of a rare blue moon inspired photographers to point their cameras to the sky last night. A blue moon occurs when two full moons are visible within a single calendar month, with the second given the name.

People gathered at Glastonbury Tor in Somerset, to catch a glimpse of the blue moon. Peter Millar was at the scene and shared this image.

In Glasgow John and Doreen McMaster noticed the blue moon was "bright". They decided to take this photograph to remember this occasion.
