rPhone - iac - Aug 1, 2015 ![]() Rphone Description rPhone is a realistic, extensible smartphone for Garry's Mod. A lot of work has gone into the framework to provide a modular interface for adding apps and other features, so let me know if you have any cool ideas! Features Phone: Should work with any gamemode with little to no modification Sleek design with notifications bar visible in bottom corner of the screen, allowing users to easily see phone status and app notifications at any time Working system tray with animated lock icon and other app notifications that can be clicked to launch their respective apps Complete UI flow control with Back & Home buttons that allow for an easy, intuitive user experience Sleep system that automatically fades out the phone when inactive for a configurable period of time Quick actions button for easy access to useful features such as a silent mode, locking the phone and obtaining your phone number Every user has their own phone number, which they can give out to other users at their discretion Customizable Wallpaper that can load images from a user designated URL Customizable app icon colors Robust API, allowing easy implementation of new features as I receive community feedback Automatically locks when a user dies or is jailed (configurable) Lock key, hold length and press mode (hold or double tap) are user configurable All user configurations are stored clientside for speed and network/space efficiency, but are still tied to individual servers by an automatically generated server GUID Serverside information such as phone numbers and the SMS mailbox are stored using SQLite Apps: A fully-functional Camera app with first person and third person view modes (for selfies) complete with zoom and the ability to upload pictures to the Steam Cloud Contacts app for keeping track of friends and others for quick access Phone app for making and viewing recent calls, complete with dialpad and options for muting, whispering and push-to-talk, and even ring tones SMS app for sending and receiving text messages which supports offline messaging, parses URLs in messages and opens them in the Steam browser, saves conversation logs and times, displays conversation information, unread messages, and also has tones and a notification for incoming texts Settings app for easy and convenient access to application and phone settings Tutorial that automatically launches itself for the first time, covering basic usage and features of rPhone Simple Browser app that allows users to quickly surf the web using the Steam browser Directory app that displays online users and their numbers Games app with the Flutter Fowl game (special thanks to Tommy228) Configuration: Highly configurable, both by users and administrators Tones (for the Phone and SMS) can be heard by everyone or made to be clientside only (volume is also adjustable) Configurable phone number lengths Configurable SMS offline mailbox size as well as message length And much more! (and even more to come) Admin stuff: Quote:Installation Download link Removed. A phone would be gr88 Re: rPhone - Karakuts - Aug 2, 2015 Would /pm be removed, or would it just be kept for OOC only? Either way +Support Re: rPhone - iac - Aug 2, 2015 (Aug 2, 2015, 03:29 AM)Karakuts link Wrote: Would /pm be removed, or would it just be kept for OOC only? Pm would be removed as you can send SMS and call people on rPhone. Re: rPhone - Bowie R - Aug 2, 2015 I'd always love if the /pm system would've been tranfered to a more realistic usuage such as a phone. Either way, It's highly necessary that this is a phone that you would be able to toggle off and on. If so +Support Re: rPhone - iac - Aug 2, 2015 (Aug 2, 2015, 11:31 AM)Bowie R link Wrote: I'd always love if the /pm system would've been tranfered to a more realistic usuage such as a phone.
