Suggestion:
New users, upon joining, should have a different spawn and one that places them where proper signage can explain some of the most fundamental rules as well as show some essential resources.
Description/Reasoning:
- Fundamental rules
- Website (UserCP, Dupe Management, Statistics, Forums)
- RP Resources (Selected guides, training videos)
- Content Collections Required
- Mounted Content Requirements w/ links to download missing content
- Map integrated into a sign or entity
- Explanation of our REP system & rewards

Its possible that someone (like me, you, etc) could be coming from another RP community and already be well versed.
A way to have a box pop up that says "It seems you are connecting for the first time, would you like to go through our new player's area to learn the basics?" would be preferable imho

I really like the idea. I think it can help with new players not breaking the rules and, allow them to not be upset because they don’t know how to play.
I definitely support Reebses idea. And maybe add a section saying, if you need help, look for an [L²:RP] or mod tag.

Though alot of new players will deny we should also make sure that you can always go back to this function at any time.

@Nev, are you talking about a panel like the F1 menu that automatically pops up on your screen if you're a new player connecting for the first time or are you talking about a physical in-game area that can tutorialize people?

This would definitely help new players as opposed to the crash course of finding the resources yourself and call a teacher for any queries.
Perhaps intergrating a system where if the map file is missing it redirects you to a newcomer's server using only default Gmod resources to walk them through the set-up process instead of letting Gmod just auto-DC them if that's at all possible.
