Canadian Snowbird Aircraft Tragedy - Duckie - May 19, 2020

Sadly, the town of Kamloops, BC and Nova Scotia have suffered yet another loss. A Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbird acrobatic jet carrying two RCAF pilots had crashed, injuring one, killing the other.

CTV: “One member of the Canadian Forces Snowbirds has died and another has sustained serious injuries after their plane crashed in Kamloops, B.C., while on a cross-country tour. CTV News has confirmed that Capt. Jennifer Casey has been identified as the Snowbirds team member killed in the crash. Kamloops RCMP confirmed Sunday afternoon that they received a report that a Snowbird plane had crashed into a residence on Glenview Avenue, at about 11:42 a.m. local time. BC Emergency Health Services said multiple paramedics responded to the scene and one person was transported to hospital. EHS could not provide any information about that patient's condition.”

Law Enforcement says it will be a long time before a conclusion can come, as to what happened. At this time, it is believed to be the result of an electrical failure.

My thoughts and prayers go to the fallen pilot and everyone affected by what was supposed to bring a little joy to Canadians, during these hard times. Rest In Peace.
