Making weed riskier 2.0 - Oneshott - May 2, 2020

This is a changed version of a previously approved, but then retroactively denied suggestion(Link here)https://limelightgaming.net/forums/thread-24640.html

Explain your suggestion, in detail

Having reread through that, and the responses to it, even though it was approved at one point, I think a better version of it could possibly be the following.

Weed seeds/ Planted weed in pots have a smell that lingers in whisper range. People that have been near said weed, also have this lingering smell on them. Cops can follow up on said smells.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented: The UV light is not a reason to raid, and unless people give a pretty obvious reason to search their property there really is none. This would make it so there is a bit more risk involved on weed. Particularly in a dense city such as Southside.

This takes away the issues with inventory, which people seemed to dislike understandably. It is only about what is active on the map. It could even lead to people being framed, falsely accused and RPed out, etc.

Contraband is a bs reason to arrest people?

Crime should be harder as it's all that pays +1

Weed is basically risk free right now, just don't mention you're doing anything in OOC and the worst that happens is a guy burglarises the house when you're popping off to the vending machine

Yeah and there's no way to know someone doing it unless you raid them or go in their house. Unlike the suggestion where you would be able to smell the weed off someone.. then that would be an additional reason to raid someone like oh I smell weed on u? is this your house yeah imma raid it.

So in other words, you think the crime that makes the most money should not have any risk or caution involved? Along with contraband being on the main crimes being committed, how is it a bullshit reason to arrest someone?
