ANPR Traps - Montyfatcat - Apr 19, 2020 Idea: Add a kind of camera which can be placed by police anywhere but is meant for roadsides. It will alert the police team whenever someone with a BOLO or warrant and gives the location of the camera. This camera can be damaged by criminals to not work for 5 minutes, however they cannot truly destroy it. Why?: Right now, policing has very few tools. You have the ability to drive in a circle around the map, look with your eyes and hope that the person didn't find a gap in the conga line of police cars. Instead, this tool would allow the police to have a permanent trap set, but is able to be damaged in advance so that if someone IS wanted, they simply have to p[lay their cards a little wiser about their escape route. This tool is also absolutely a requirement if the map is ever switched from Evo, as not all maps are 1 loop. RE: ANPR Traps - Jeff Ford - Apr 19, 2020 +Support An extra police tool won't hurt. There can be a limit on the total amount of cameras spawned on the map at once RE: ANPR Traps - Riggs - Apr 20, 2020 +support seams like it would work well, just a limit as stated above. Though I love the sound of this idea, I'm going to have to agree with Insert on this one. The map we're currently on is honestly too small for something like this to be effective, it's not very difficult as it is to track a vehicle / person down if the police force have a little coordination and search specific sections thoroughly. @Montyfatcat, you mention that it could be useful on other maps as well, but what happens if something like Southside is taken into account? I've had a good look at that map and the roads seem way too compact and always within built up areas, something that would not benefit this at all. The only way I could see this working would be on a massive map like Truenorth and with an average nightly player count of 60+ people to really kick it into effect.

I would argue any map with more than 1 route to the same location would benefit from this. There are around 3 routes to each location on Southside for example, and on the current map it is only meant to avoid the conga line strategy that the police have to employ to find anybody. This stops police resources having to be entirely focused on one aspect at a time, instead allowing for multiple cases to be going on. For example I'm often pulled off of RPing minor issues because it takes the whole PD to find a trabant that went and sat in the industrial lot. RE: ANPR Traps - MrMaaze - Apr 23, 2020 -Neutral, I kind a like the Idea of it, As stated more Police tools won't hurt, Also i was thinking about it, The Map is Kinda too Small for it also you can easily block of escape routes at a tunnel. Im goin to Rethink it maybe it will turn into a +Support... RE: ANPR Traps - The Demonic Knight - Apr 24, 2020 +support Would hopefully create some more rp as opposed to just driving in circles to find perp, as well as perp simply just hiding in one location for five minutes then freely wandering about RE: ANPR Traps - Limelight Gaming - Apr 24, 2020 Pushing for Staff Review. #type:[review] RE: ANPR Traps - Dutch - Apr 24, 2020 (Apr 23, 2020, 07:03 PM)Mr.Sir Wrote:Gotta keep it fair for the criminals 2 you know?(Apr 19, 2020, 08:40 PM)Insert Wrote: -Support.
