RE: Mechanic sign welding (25+ reps) - Maveric - Apr 23, 2020 To weld to someone else's car you need them to add you to their prop protect list, otherwise you cannot weld to their car, at least that's what I was told before by @Montyfatcat when he was trying to weld something to @Ketchup's car RE: Mechanic sign welding (25+ reps) - Montyfatcat - Apr 23, 2020 You need to weld it when you have their prop permission, or use your own signs for the job RE: Mechanic sign welding (25+ reps) - MrMarsh - Jan 6, 2025 As best as i can tell this does not work. Whilst admins can weld signs, a player that got enough reps to do vehicle welding and is both the owner of the car and the sign ment to be welded together can not weld said sign. A temporary workaround can be to indireclty weld the sign to a prop that is welded to the car but that makes the whole thing pretty jiggly and does not seem to be preferable from a physics standpoint. RE: Mechanic sign welding (25+ reps) - Riggs - Jan 6, 2025 I have observed that it may have something todo with tool gun/tool permissions on the sign entity. left click with the weld tool does nothing when targeting sign entity. for clarification, this is welding my own sign entities to my own vehicle. |
