Summary: I was looking at his car because it was a weird ass colour then he ran over very aggressively so i ran off and tried killing me. I had loaded into the game seconds before.

Hmm, I'm not sure.
Without input from the accused, it looks like they ran over where you were partially out of sight behind the vehicle.
When you moved away they were punching the air, not you.
When he moved towards you, you didn't move away, instead engaging in a fist fight.
You had options to de-escalate the situation, and didn't take any.
