President able to decide who is in charge of warrants - henryhouse12 - Oct 9, 2019

Explain your suggestion, in detail:

As president sometimes I have to go AFK as everyone does, however this is annoying for both me and the police force as no one can be arrested. My idea was basically to, when the president goes AFK they can allow the police chief to complete warrants.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:

Obviously this would be allowed at any time so if the president wants nothing to do with the warrants then they can leave it to the PD however if they want to do warrants they can. So by default every time there is a new president the warrants are automatically set to be completed by him but when they inputs a command like: /warrantpd it will change so the PD get the warrants and something like: /warrantpres to change it back to the presidents handling the warrants.

Sorry I am really bad at explaining but hopefully you got the jist.

If you are going away for longer than 5 minutes you are required to leave your job slot if it ESPECIALLY if it prevents others from being that slot. This is in the rules as of now so you shouldn't be AFK for long periods of time, to begin with. Secondly, the Vice President (if active) is able to take over your job should you be AFK. I don't like the idea of Police accepting their own warrants as warrants being approved or denied is about 60% of the president's job, whether they like it or not.

I don't see a reason to add this in.

Good idea, bad reasoning.

I don't believe the President should have a say in the warrants. He is the most disconnected member of the government when it comes to ground work. How can he make a good judgement on an arrest compared to the Police Chief who can drive down to the situation and look through the scene?

I mean whilst I agree with you that's kinda how the justice system works - judges are disconnected - they don't really drive down to the scene and look through it, the case gets brought to them.

Yet in this world, the president doesn’t get testimonies, physical evidence, etc. at least in here to balance it we can have someone drive to the scene and gather evidence to show the chief while the president can at anytime demote players who have falsely accused others. Keeps people in check and allows for someone who can actually see the evidence to show up.
