50 people have been killed in two attacks targeting Muslims in the New Zealand city of Christchurch. Officials have called it a "right-wing extremist terrorist attack."

Suspected right-wing militants on Friday launched twin terrorist attacks on mosques in the city of Christchurch on New Zealand's South Island. At least one of the attacks was live-streamed on social media channels, according to authorities.

Police said 49 people have been killed in what the New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern described as one of New Zealand's darkest days.
Three suspects are in custody, according to police. One of them has been charged with murder.
At one mosque, authorities said they found explosive devices, which they were able to secure before they detonated.
Police have asked mosques to close across New Zealand.

scariest thing is i lived in New Zealand for 6 years and this is shocking, i cant believe someone would do this in a country as peaceful as New Zealand

Probably to get the blame shifted to him. Lots of people are now saying that pewdiepie is responsible for the attack

Horrible act of senseless violence and terror, once again randomly ending the lives of citizens. I am glad to see he was caught alive and hope that anyone who is involved as a suspect indirectly to the shooting will be caught soon too.

Honestly terrible, I can't even begin to imagine what the families of those caught up in it are going through. I'm glad he was caught alive and didn't get the easy way out.

Don't post the video, don't post the manifesto, and be sensitive.

I'm glad he was caught, and I just have to hope for the best for anyone injured, and for the families of those killed.

Thoughts are with the New Zealanders these next couple of days.

ISIS is collapsing, and Right and Left Terror is becoming much more prominent, and it will be a much harder fight than any islamic militant group.
