Adding a customizable (LE/Security) duty belt - Wesley Lawrence - Nov 15, 2018

Explain your suggestion, in detail:

This suggestion is to add an item to buy from the market and equip to your player-model. This item is the customizable (police/security) duty belt that was made by devonjones under this workshop item:  https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1275071129.
The reason why I think this might be a good idea to have available for purchase, is, e.g. because you can't always identify plainclothes that work for a law enforcement- or security branch. Adding a holster to the player-model gives us a better understanding of the player having a firearm on them, and the type of set-up they have on them might give away a bit more about what branch they're active in.

Because I don't completely understand how the police cap and hat aren't body groups to the current police models we have, but are able to bought from the market and equipped through inventory, which snaps them onto the head, I figured this might be possible to be bought from the market and snapped onto the waist area of someone's player-model too.

Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:

A useful clothing add-on that doesn't require too much work on it to be implemented. Just somehow chuck it in-game, into the market available for purchase and available for equipping through the inventory menu and have it snap onto the player-model.

Have it open for everyone as gov has their own pms already

The quality of the model is great, and as you've mentioned, it could surely be useful as far as better immersion goes.

It would have to be 100% accessable by anyone though, not just gov pass holders.

Alot of private security or just people who want a nice belt on their skins that dont have this kind of thing already on it.

It would also need to NOT be some insanely high rep locked item as its just a belt, it would be in the same catagory as say the police hat.

I definitely support this suggestion, if it gets approved, to be open for anyone to purchase and place on their playermodel. The reason I said LE/security is because such duty belts are usually kinda limited to people in those sectors. But for the sake of Limelight, sure, make it accessible to anyone.

It would be a great addition, but i believe the player models would have to get redone to remove the existing duty belt.

They are bodygroups @Wesley Lawrence.

Okay, well, it seems like the majority would like to see this in-game so if it's possible to implement it I see no reason why it couldn't be added. Maybe we could have a default bodygroup for this on civilian models too?

That would be expensive for all 50+ models we have. It is very minimal for what it adds so I doubt it'll be high on the list... It'll probably be at the bottom unless they make a system around out.
