FPIU and civilians - Montyfatcat - Sep 27, 2018

Idea: add a version of the FPIU labelled Ford Explorer (as that’s what it is) and the Ford Taurus that’s got no light bar or PD shit for civilians in the marketplace
Why: Why keep the FPIU for cops only? Especially as it is a realistically common car in the US. Same goes for the Taurus, they’re not bad cars or particularly PD specialist, plus considering that stripped versions are creatable by PD it’s not impossible

FPIU = Ford POLICE Interceptor Utility

I do not think I have to explain further. Never heard of a Ford Citizen Interceptor Utility.
There is the Ford Explorer but its used rarely for civilian purposes. There is no (civilian) version of it on the workshop either as far as I know.

-support for adding a civilian version of the FPIU.
+support for adding a civilian version of the Ford Taurus.

The Ford Explorer is one of the top picks for soccer moms in the US. Know your facts before you speak nazi boy

FPIU civilian counterpart = Ford Explorer
There is a civilian Taurus WIDELY used in America

+support if it’s possible to spawn them without any bodygroups and make it impossible to spawn them with lights on them (without a gov pass)

+support on both. It'd make unmarked vehicles stand out a little less as well.

Not only are Ford Explorers stupid common (The Taurus not as much) but the Police Interceptors have been on the used market for years now. Hell, I even drive past a used car lot with a 2016 (or newer) FPIU sitting on the lot. (The jerks park it in the driveway when they're closed so it looks like a cop running radar. Fooled me the first few times)

Read my reply.
Also, like Reeber said, I can go on Craigslist and buy a Ford POLICE Interceptor Utility for a reasonable price used.
I own a Crown Victoria POLICE Interceptor and I’m not a cop.
It makes no sense going unmarked in a FPIU or Taurus if cops are the only ones that can use them.
