Engine on/off - Armard - Sep 11, 2018

Explain your suggestion, in detail:Add a default engine idle sound when the engine is on and turn the sounds off when its off (excludes electric cars and prius)
Explain why the suggestion should be implemented:countless times new players leave their trabants (not sponsored) running and when they get back to them after few minutes they find out that the engine that has been running has ate the entire gas tank, if we'd have some engine sounds running others could inform them way before they are on 0 petrol

PS: its r e a l i s t i c

You won't be able to hear anything if people park at 190 main-street. They always leave their engines on.

The sound would start over seconds after as it would probably be a few seconds looped, so that would not work.

If it is low enough to be noticeable but not annoying, +Support, also you could have a law that would get cars towed if they are parked with their engine on for too long.

if you were to place down an engine sound emmiter and do stopsound  it wont re-start even if its looped

only issue is lag, how much would something like that cause @Doctor Internet ?

RE: Engine on/off - Stomm - Sep 14, 2018

I'm not sure about a constant engine sound, maybe have some warning dings if you get out when the engine is running?

RE: Engine on/off - Da Cool Cow - Sep 14, 2018

What @Stomm said would be more ideal imo. Some warning sounds and/or a message to alert the player that they have left their engine running.
