Launching Gmod - Jeff Ford - Aug 30, 2018 Display Driver failed to start occurs when I launch GMod. A black rim surrounds my screen and I have to uninstall all drivers then reinstall later nvidia driver and that fixes. However, it keeps happening everytime I launch GMod. Anyone else ever had this issue? RE: Launching Gmod - Jeff Ford - Aug 30, 2018 Cannot find a fix. The solution doesn't seem to work. RE: Launching Gmod - Armard - Aug 30, 2018 @Jeff Ford Are you using any recording software Are you using any Autoexec files Are you using any startup prompts? I've removed all drivers and installed an old one that I hoped would work. It didn't. I simply posted because I though maybe people would have gone through this before. My display settings are at "Recommended" according to Hallowed's post. This issue completely prohibits me from playing Garry's Mod. As soon as I launch the game, the error appears screwing up my computer with the black rim and bad quality picture. The graphics card details on device manager says it's not working and mentions Code 43. I have goggled fixes but they don't work. If i'm quickly exit GMod, the error stops and the computer goes back to normal. @Armard Specify "Startup"? RE: Launching Gmod - Jeff Ford - Aug 30, 2018 Fixed. The Aspect Radio didn't agree with the computer system. I reverted it to normal. But, for some reason (Which caused this issue after my attempting to fix) the boxes etc are "Further out" than normal and I don't know how to fix it. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198129746110/screenshot/960844484159222399 RE: Launching Gmod - Eddie - Aug 30, 2018 Good to know it is fixed. The issue has been resolved. There's not a better word for me that idiot. I really appreciate the response ![]() RE: Launching Gmod - Jen - Aug 31, 2018 Any further questions? @Jeff Ford RE: Launching Gmod - Jeff Ford - Aug 31, 2018 @"Stell90" No thanks Stell.
