You need to make sure the keypad has Vehicle access then when in a car you can press alt to be used.

Do you need to put the remote on a keypad or will it just target any keypad? Or the closest keypad? How does it work

Vehicle access it is one of the bottom options,

I with the basic keypad not the advanced one.


And it operates when you look at it, it will activate.
