Add clientside volume control for sirens - Jokhah - Dec 11, 2017

Explain your suggestion, in detail: Add in a way to control the volume of the sirens on our client.  Something to reduce the volume level by up to around 50%, not turn them all the way off, just down some.
Explain why the suggestion should be implemented: Some of the sirens are loud as fuck.  This is compounded when multiple cars are responding to the same area with code 3 on.  I support the realism of having sirens and that they shouldn't be able to be completely turned off, so as to avoid excuses like (I didn't know I don't have sirens on), but some of us play while other members of our family is sleeping.  When I have to turn down my sound to a point where the siren is at an acceptable level of noise, typically I can't even hear the footsteps when I'm walking nor voice chat.

We have the ability to control the volume of voice, media players, even the overall game sounds.  We should have the ability to tone down the sirens a bit.

Again, not saying that we should be able to mute them.  Just saying we should be able to tone them down so they aren't ear-rape loud.  I mean rape isn't allowed here anyway, right?  Should include siren ear-rape.

I'm not sure if this is possible. I don't believe it is. I will check however.

Please do, else the sirens are going to end up being a make or break situation for me. Can't have that shit wakin up my family, no matter how much I enjoy playing here. It ain't fair to them.

It's impossible. The hook that's meant to deal with this doesn't fire off. I've reduced the siren level again.

Why not just wear headphones?.

I can only imagine the amount of people that would be saying "I didn't hear your sirens" if they had the ability to just whack them down.

@"ForceGhost"

Seems like a simple fix, which I'm working on, however the last 4 pairs of them that I've owned have been basically destroyed by my 10 year old stepson, along with a couple of keyboards, an xbox rockcandy controller and a few other items. And I agree 100% about the "can't hear siren" argument.

@Doctor Internet

Since this cannot happen, you can close this request. I'm not going to delete this one as this will serve as a record that it's not possible. Thanks for reducing siren volumes a bit.
