Make Schematics More expensive - The Demonic Knight - Nov 1, 2017

Suggestion Type: In-Game

Explain your suggestion, in detail: To make schematics more expensive in an effort to try and create some kind of economy on the server. This should do so by preventing those that can't afford the schematics to buy more items from those that can, rather than the majority of the server simply self serving when they want something, it would also force players that won't something to interact with those that have what they what, which could bring about rp opportunities.
Here some examples of prices(please not the word "examples" before commenting that they are too high):
Ceramic Plating Schematic - $250,000

Taser Repair Schematic - $100,000
Taser Cell Creation Schematic - $75,000
Taser Cell Recharge Schematic - $60,000
Molotolvs Schematic - $100,000
Paint Bomb Schematic - $60,000

To make this fair, i think that all schematics currently owned should be refunded then players will have to buy them at the new price

(note: i couldn't remember the exact names when i made these examples)
Explain why the suggestion should be implemented: I Believe this should be implemented because there is already so much potential for there to be some kind of economy on LL, but the problem is that where a lot of the items are cheap and readily available, most players are simply self serving which is damaging the economy as no money is trading hands, also this would potentially lead to more role play as there would be more interaction between players. Also, in terms of people complaining about how OP ceramic plating is, i believe this could solve it as i think that the problem with how easy it is to obtain. 10 ceramics cost use as much as 15 kevlar, you pay 30k once, then for the same price as 15 kevlar...you get 10 ceramics....the only reason every criminal from shoplifter to cartel drug lord has ceramic plating is because everyone can afford to self serve it.

Neutral

I would prefer if we had actual production of items instead.
While a full fledged farming of raw material and refinement system might be a bit steep as of yet, at least having a sort of legal version of the black market items would be neat.

Example: Buy the raw materials from a vendor (could be a job or even an automated store), buy a machine (similar in use to the pharmaceutical laboratory and weed pots) and allow for production of various items depending on which schematics/blueprints you have purchased (which could cost between $50,000-1,000,000) and perhaps even having various chance of success. (the $50k schematic might have a 50% chance of success of producing a 1911, and a $500k might have 80% chance of success.)

This would obviously need some more work (like, a lot), but I would still prefer it over just upping the price of schematics.
I don't really see how making the schematics more expensive would help anyone, all it would do would be to make the players who can afford them make even more by selling the goods to the rest of the population. It wouldn't actually help anyone, it would just make things more expensive for everyone involved.

But I do like the idea of a more player-driven economy, so you're certainly onto something Smile
