Sea of Green [Weed overhaul] - Faustie - Oct 24, 2017 ![]() Weed plant changes
Weed plants now function differently - their initial cycle they only produce 5 weed, but the amount produced increases by 1 each cycle, or even faster if you use a UV light. The maximum per cycle is 10 without a light, 15 with. You receive a new seed with each cycle too, and everything now goes to your inventory - no more searching the ground for your packs.
UV Lights
Higher risk - higher reward
Want to earn more money? Use Ultraviolet light to help your plants grow more. Be careful - these things can get hot over time. We wouldn't want a fire. And don't forget to turn them on.
$25,000 initial investment
Dynamic lighting
Can be picked up by holding shift+use for two seconds
Press use to turn on/off
Heats up over time
Press shift+use to check temperature
Crash-proof
Can be destroyed by fire or damage
Price changes
Pots are now $500 each
Seeds are now $2000 each
Weed now sells for $500 each
You can make significantly more profit now, especially if you use a UV light, but only if you can defend your farm for long enough. New max per cycle is $37,500.
New models
The plants have new, updated models. We've also added the rest of the GTAV Weed Prop Pack (exported by WinningRook) for you to use.

Suggestion - Nevy
This suggestion was the core of this update. A few changes were made, and the last two points not included as we didn't believe our server is in the right state for it yet, but we might revisit that in the future.

Moar updates pls!#1#111 I love that! Good job! RE: Sea of Green [Weed overhaul] - Welker - Oct 24, 2017 Great change. could pots be movable like they were before? Not sure if they're intentionally un-grabable or not. Not sure if they're intentionally un-gradable or not. Side-effect of a different prop used, I imagine. For now I've pushed an update so the physgun can be used, but we'll fix that to use hands shortly. Just need some sleep. RE: Sea of Green [Weed overhaul] - Vadar - Oct 24, 2017 Very sexy. Loving the amount of new updates! Also,is the usage of weed effect still the same? RE: Sea of Green [Weed overhaul] - Daley - Oct 24, 2017 Nice update! Weed needed some love. RE: Sea of Green [Weed overhaul] - Murdoch Murdoch - Oct 24, 2017 Now that's what I'm talking about The post is a little unclear though, When planting the seed do you just straight up use the seed while looking at the pot now or can you still pick it up and drop it in? Can UV lights explode on their own or do they behave like pharma labs in that they explode after a little while only when damaged? If the lights can explode on their own, how long can they be on for? Seeing as you can check the temperature, are you notified of the maximum safe temperature? If the light doesn't explode on its own then what does happen once it reaches this temperature? Is one light sufficient for all plants? If so, I assume having multiple lights would be to circumvent the temperature issue? How much faster do plants grow with UV lights? 2 per cycle instead of one? Is the maximum pots per person still 5? Do others' pots still stay after they disconnect so that they can be used by other people? I'm skeptical this is still the case considering they are now physgun manipulated, but would be nice to have clarification. And finally, less of a question, since these are crash-protected if it doesn't already there should really be a notification pop up in perhaps chat saying you were refunded/items were returned to your inventory. If that is the case, then contra should follow suit as I know it's restart proof but not sure about crash, it's hard to tell if I get my money back without a notification. So a notification should be added along with making sure they refund and on top of that, pharma labs and the persistent meth items (stove, jugs, glasses, chemical tank, pots) should also be crash/restart proof. Apologies for the long post but I like to stay informed and provide my input where possible.
