Cant Connect? - platinum_miner - Apr 2, 2017
Hello!
So I have not played limelight in months and I thought I might aswell start playing again but when I try to connect it just doesnt work for example some days it will freeze at "retreving server info" some days it will be some font thing but I have tried everything to attempt to fix it so I have came to the forums.
"Today I went out for the afternoon at around 2pm and when I came back at around 6pm my game was still on reterving server info"
UPDATE: Now it locks up on the downloading map bit and I have to restart my computer. Also I have the correct map installed already

Unsubscribe from addons if you have alot
try reinstalling addons (make sure you go into gmod addon folder and when they are all uninstalled delete them from the folder sometime they bug out)
Try to lower you gmod settings

Hey there @platinum_miner!
I noticed you've edited your OP to say you've installed the correct map - could I ask where you downloaded it from?
Please ensure that your Model Quality is set to High regardless of your computer specs too, as that tends to cause issues.

Could you download it from here and see if that makes any difference?
Have you tried turning up the model quality as well?

All settings are high as usual. That has not made any difference that map

I think its because it just locks up instantly

Head into Windowed mode and try to connect.

Alright, if you head to your Garry's Mod directory, you should see a file called FactoryReset-GMod.bat
Please run this file.
It'll get rid of some of your stuff, but I'm unsure if it'll require you to redownload content and the map.
