Why? It's relevant to the issue,

if teachers aren't on the team page, why are contributors when neither were or are part of the staff team?

Contributors do way more work lmao.

I wish I could agree. However, that's not the point of this. Teachers do work, why are they not credited for it? Is it because they don't do enough? If that's the case, why do they always get denied when they try to do more?

I don't suppose you see my issue.

Probably you wont see us. It is not done over OOC. It is done via going up to the player, showing him basic tools and how they can be used to make their roleplay more complex. I am going to show someone new how to do basic /me and /it when being pulled over. I will show someone how to take a situation and make a roleplay out of it instead of shooting someone, showing them how to avoid powergaming and how to use /roll to attempt to do roleplay instead of him forcing you into something you don't want (aka powergaming). Considering older players too, I am going to suggest adding something to their build, ask if they need our help, stay around his RP to make it look populated and have him interacting with players, help him better his interaction if need be.

I would love if more people in the community pointed out people who need help with their roleplay or inform us of a roleplay that could benefit by our presence.

tl;dr
You are not going to see us promoting a roleplay because promoting is not shouting about it, it is about helping said roleplay to attract players to it or is about sitting down with someone and explaining to him what each command does and how it can be used to make his roleplay better. That is what promoting roleplay is.

I disagree 100% thats not promoting RP at all thats just introducing someone to the game mode.

How can they RP if they do not understand the game-mode?

To be honest the method project states in how they promote RP is the same method I use, i never announce it globaly and perfer to work with smaller groups that can if the RP goes well enough expand to larger groups, never will I start it large.

This allows the RP your promoting to maintain its focus and keep it from disrupting other RP on the server as an announcement that "This RP is happening here, those who wish to join in join in" Usualy results in the death of at least 50% of the servers RP as everyone rushes to that one RP that was announced, depending on who is announing it, it can very well kill 90% of the general RP on the server.

Man, you have only liked one post on the forums. I'd pay for your like.

What do teachers get from being displayed on the Team page? "ooooh I'm better than youuuu, suck mah nutz".

No. -Support

EDIT: On a serious note, I see absolutely NO benefits from this? Apart from the fact teachers get to feel slightly better about themselves. On the other hand, I can list plenty of negatives; Numero uno see original comment. Numero Dos some teachers might let the power go to their head and start acting bigger. Numero Tres, you would have to re-introduce the Teacher forums tags, which is pointless as Teachers do not need to be identified on the forums? You get the idea.

As Soviet (basically) said, the work Teachers do isn't even comparable to the work Contributors do. It's like comparing a tax evader to a soldier.

With all due respect, don't compare teachers to criminals. Teachers and Contributors both help the server, Tax evaders take from the state, whilst soldiers give to it. It's not comparable. it's insulting, and whilst I get that most people hate the teacher team for whatever reason (lack of trust, failed to get in themselves, hate the concept, hate the people in it, hate me, etc etc), it would be nice, polite and all those other words to keep this conversation civil. I'm sure you didn't mean to offend anyone, but for anyone who's a teacher, or was a teacher, the implication is insulting.

In no way was I intending to be insulting, I was simply comparing the amount of work. You as both a Teacher and a Contributor should know that you have to do a lot more work as a contributor, and equally contributors benefit the community more.

RE: Should teachers be listed on team page? - ForceGhost - Feb 24, 2017

If teachers are the same as anyone else on the server,

Why has the suggestion in regards to giving them the ability to hand a REPs been approved?
