In response to the underlined area: I was away from LL for 6 months recently, I did not play ingame for that entire period, yet i still kept up to date with the goings on, the politics, and what people needed or wanted. Are you saying that because I wasnt playing the game itself, that the suggestions/Votes I posted and made should not have been able to be made in the first place? Even though the lack of ingame time had in no way actualy impeded my ability to learn everything I needed to know about what was going on in LL? My time away from LL was more or less identical to that of someone who had been permabanned, i was not ingame at all, yet I still was able to learn everything I needed to know by reading the forums, and talking to people. RE: Permanently Banned Players and Forum Accounts - Soviethooves - Nov 27, 2018 It isn’t hard to understand that people have valid opinions and voting rights even if they broke server rules. Don’t suspend someone from their rights on the forums when they didn’t break any forum rules. I literally don’t see a positive to doing this other than causing a bit of disruption and another reason for perm banned players to minge on the forums (not like there is a lot of it in the first place involving votes) RE: Permanently Banned Players and Forum Accounts - Doctor Internet - Nov 27, 2018 (Nov 27, 2018, 10:19 AM)Gungranny Wrote: It isn’t hard to understand that people have valid opinions and voting rights even if they broke server rules. I literally don’t see a positive to doing this other than causing a bit of disruption and another reason for perm banned players to minge on the forums (not like there is a lot of it in the first place involving votes) Honestly this is the argument. >They shouldn't vote because they're permed. >Okay, why is that. a> Because they can't know what's going on ingame. >But what about changelogs, streams, updates, suggestions, debates on the forum, the OOC relay, discord and just talking to other people? >But they can't know what's going on ingame because they're not ingame. >That didn't answer any questions. b> Because they're permed. >Okay, so what about the players who were permed, and still provided useful feedback and input to the community, who ended up being better community members than some who haven't been banned, such as myself, BlackDog, Liv, Faustin etc. > But they're permed. There's no winning here, there's no seeing people to see our side. They're sat in a trench, using a shovel to throw shit at the other side. It's like the question, why should they have their voting rights restricted? >Because all they do is troll. >*searches 6 month's worth of suggestions* "i didn't find anything" >but teacher applications. *brings up an example of one guy, who got banned for trolling serious subforums and applications already* >But teachers do more work than just ingame? >but all their powers are ingame and all judgements people make are ingame. >No, that's not how it works? People tend to judge me on my forum / discord interactions and updates, because I don't often go ingame. They are also the primary people who interact with H&S. >but ingame. If people get banned ingame, they lose their ingame rights. If people get banned from the forum, they lose their forum rights. The only global bans we have, are for some ToS violations. If you disagree, and thing every forum, discord, ingame and TS ban should be linked together, then that's a different suggestion. For the reasons I've said before, along with our split of ingame/forum punishments, -support. Quick question @"Nudelsalat im Panzer". How would preventing them from voting in the poll effect this? These are posts not votes; with a lot of people have been defending their right to post.
