Think about staff that were Teachers before staff, would it have been hard for them to punish the people that +Supported their application?
Not really, or if so then not to the same extent at all. There's usually quite a while before somebody becomes a moderator from a teacher role, and even if it's a short interval, it's a change of position which wasn't directly caused by the support for their teacher application.
Moderators and administrators are both members of staff, whilst teachers aren't. There's a big difference.
The principle of supporting someone in order to obtain a rank is still there.

That's why I'm against community nominations for staff roles? Perhaps you should read what you're writing.
If you support somebody's application for teacher, you're helping them to get that teacher role, not their moderator role if they go on to become a moderator.

Some guy just prop-pushed half of the server to death.
It's prime-time on friday evening and there's not a single staff member online out of one which is afk and farming hours. How comes???
