RE: "fireman" job title - Rydolph - Mar 21, 2019 -Support Has no impact whatsoever. Just another title. RE: "fireman" job title - Doctor Internet - Mar 21, 2019 It's been 22 hours, and that's close enough for me. Of the 12 -supports, 5 were because "fuck PC" 2 failed to provide a reason. I'm not going to exclude any votes in this case, but will leave a suggestion that in the future, people open their minds a bit more. The exact same suggestion with a different reason, seemingly would have had radically different voting patterns. (Might be wrong here, really not much of a fire rp dude) RE: "fireman" job title - Eddie - Mar 21, 2019 (Mar 21, 2019, 08:29 PM)Daley Wrote: Yeah no, who cares honestly, besides we don't have female firefighter models do we? (Might be wrong here, really not much of a fire rp dude) I did later on in the thread state other reasons for the change. This is not directly aiming at: "oh there is a female in the fire department who is a fireman" I made the suggestion primarily because Firefighter is the correct job title. I am more than willing to admit that yes I can expand on my OP but I didn't. Firefighter is the correct job title. Take a look at this link: https://forums.firehouse.com/forum/firefighting/firefighters-forum/448-do-you-call-yourself-a-fireman-or-firefigter and you will find that a majority call themselves a Firefighter. RE: "fireman" job title - Soviethooves - Mar 21, 2019 All they need to do is edit the reasoning for the suggestion and more than half of the -Support’s would change RE: "fireman" job title - Pollux - Mar 23, 2019 (Mar 21, 2019, 09:11 PM)Gungranny Wrote: All they need to do is edit the reasoning for the suggestion and more than half of the -Support’s would change Why would you -support a good suggestion just because of the reasoning the OP provided? If it's a good suggestion you should +support it because well, it's a good suggestion? He agrees that it is ridiculous that people can be so narrow-minded and consumed by their own selfish desires that they fail to see the bigger picture. There is nothing politically incorrect about saying 'fireman', the word 'man' refers to mankind, the human species, Homo sapiens, collectively, namely Humanity - hence why 'woman' consists of 'man'. Well what do you think of the reasoning that they are not professional titles?
