False.
Being a Teacher is a voluntary obligation that people are given if they wish to better help new and existing players.
At no point does being a teacher give you an edge against players who are a shining token of our community.

It's worth noting many of the qualities teachers have are aligned with staff, which explains the reasoning as to why teachers seemingly act as a gateway. They're helpful, knowledgeable of gamemode and rules, friendly, active members of the community. You can be those things and not be a teacher.
