How do you get 'Ess' out of S, or 'Que' out of Q? Why isn't it 'Yee' and not 'Wy' for Y?

Who's to say which is the 'right' way of pronouncing a letter name?

The worst part is they even spell it 'aluminum' when putting it on the packaging of products. It is a fucking element, learn to say it and don't be so lazy.
