The message is subtle enough that you may not have sufficient time to react if you don't want to be redirected. Thanks, all covered in revision #1179 https://limelightgaming.net/services/changelogs/index.php RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Raptor - Jul 24, 2016 Say I am the President on V33x and I wish to go to Rockford for a meeting with the other president would I still be president if I go on the other server? If so, if they are two different cities then why should the warrants cross-over? RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Marvin Hampton - Jul 24, 2016 Maybe on Evocity we have a president, however in Rockford we have a Mayor. Thought that was covered by Burnett when he said players with active warrants cannot hop maps. In the meantime your word of the day is extradition. Cities have mayors. Counties have commissioners. States/provinces have governers. Countries have a king/president/similar title. RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Obay - Jul 24, 2016 Maybe while in President or Vice President it does not allow you switch maps and a message like "You can't leave, you've got a city to run!" pops up RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Marvin Hampton - Jul 24, 2016 (Jul 24, 2016, 01:41 AM)Toxic Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 01:38 AM)Marvin Hampton Wrote: Maybe on Evocity we have a president, however in Rockford we have a Mayor. I know but I was more thinking for the sake of RP ifor in this virtual country it has both Rockford and Evocity as a city, maybe we connect them by having the president set Laws for both and maybe we have a Mayor that can approve warrents in that one city they are based in so maybe we have 2 mayors and one president that can travel between the city's to make sure things are running smoothly, however the Mayor cannot leave said city due to them having a message as stated above. I quite like the sound of this, could really make CityRP 2 stand out from other roleplay communities in terms of how cities are run. Presidents gain more responsibility through making laws in both cities while mayors can focus on managing warrants and their own city's resources like police, etc. RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Stomm - Jul 24, 2016 (Jul 24, 2016, 04:23 AM)Cameron Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 04:12 AM)Marvin Hampton Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 01:41 AM)Toxic Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 01:38 AM)Marvin Hampton Wrote: Maybe on Evocity we have a president, however in Rockford we have a Mayor. This is beautiful +Support EDIT: Just had a thought- if this gets implement, this would mean that both Rockford and Evocity are in the same country, in which case travel between them wouldn't be monitored as closely. Perhaps allow warranted people to travel, but under certain conditions: (Maybe proximity? If a Cop is within X distance of them it's too hot to travel, but if no one is around they are free to sneak off. This could encourage Police monitoring the transit stations) Another thought: maybe turn some places on the map into car travel spots? For example, you drive up to the Rockford Tunnel and you get a popup "Would you like to drive to Evo City?" and selecting yes would load you and your car to the equivalent location in Evo. RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Safira - Jul 24, 2016 ^ Yes to Labrador's idea, oh my. Also the idea for the car one is good, but there's no rabbithole-tunnels in 33x - maybe a prop could be made a world-prop to combat that. It'd make your idea for the police needing to monitor the station harder though, as there's more than one. As for Police travelling across servers: Perhaps the President (Not the Mayor) must initiate a lockdown in order for this feature to unlock? RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Stomm - Jul 24, 2016 My reasoning for the police at the station is that you often see an Officer or at least a guard at the bus terminals (Well the Greyhound stop in my city is in the ghetto so that might be part of it). However if they're fleeing in a car, maybe reverse it so the any Police nearby can travel with, or somehow connect it with /pursuit (so if someone calls /pursuit on a car that leaves Officers can follow) RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Marvin Hampton - Jul 24, 2016 (Jul 24, 2016, 12:54 PM)Stomm Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 04:23 AM)Cameron Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 04:12 AM)Marvin Hampton Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 01:41 AM)Toxic Wrote:(Jul 24, 2016, 01:38 AM)Marvin Hampton Wrote: Maybe on Evocity we have a president, however in Rockford we have a Mayor. If someone with an active warrent moves over the Rockford and the city is full of government then it will allow them to travel, after 5minutes of them traveling over this will show on the government radio "This is an announcement from the EVOCITY PD, It has come to out attention you have fugitive within your city - Name, Reason for warrent, vehicle plates. If the city is not full then the travel will be disabled. RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Obay - Jul 24, 2016 What about stolen vehicles? If the player switches server via the tether, should the vehicle remain in Evocity and not despawn? Whats your opinions on that? RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - Toxic - Jul 24, 2016 It should despawn as though it was retrieved by law enforcement upon the person escaping the area. RE: Map Tethering [Version 1] - SirWulf - Jul 24, 2016 There are certainly a number of scenarios to work out with this. But with such a new change to the infrastructure that is a given. You technically leave the server so... you lose your job, dupes, car, etc. Could you someday be able to have dupes active in both servers that you could go back and forth into? We shall see. |
