Instead of having a vote machine, just have it as a ballot box.

More realistic. IRL voting machines have more flaws. There's a video by computerphile explaining why voting machines are a bad idea.

I've always been against any average player being able to take the president spot without any sort of process; I guess it's the way it is currently for the sake of fairness. What really put things into perspective was looking at a ballot and seeing the two options I could vote for in terms of Representatives  in the US Congress; one was Jared Huffman, the current seat-holder in the House with many years of experience in both Congress and the State Assembly, along with holding degrees in Law and Political Science. The other choice was a grocery bagger (not a joke, literally said that on the ballot). Now you tell me who you'd vote for. Generally the person with experience and knows what they're doing gets the job.  This particular job is not a matter of fairness. A person who wants the job badly enough will rise to meet the expectations, watching and learning.

TL;DR long winded +support

If this is done this must be done with the president reform where president could decide where taxes are going, rise salaries and citizens could choose to pay tax.

President could change dictator when he'd stopped elections. And there should be option to over thrown the president and the killer achieves the Place since now when you have killed the president you can take the position.

In my opinion if we had enough players we could have a senate, to hence the democracy. It is always a totalitarist state when only two people can decide laws and taxes.

Neutral.

But it would be more fair if a said individual won by a landslide victory, say, 4 times, like some world leaders, they would automatically be unable to run until another election.

RE: President - Elections - Alluzi - May 11, 2016

Government rp needs definitely more depth, improvements and some sort of  election system would be great. Yet I am concerned about the fact that election system where either people directly vote for president or there will be no elections at all,  would narrow rp and divide it  to absolute Direct democracy and Despotism. Which kind of thinking is also  "a soul-mate" to  american(US)  mentality on naive   good vs bad. (Which is also used on US government´s propaganda to defend they´re foreign policies.)

In reality there is many forms of democracies not to speaking of forms of governing. There should be at least possibility to restrict voting right to political parties  member´s, or something similar.   Also a matter which is advisable is that election results would not be automatically announced by some sort of system, because it gives nuances to government rp in form of election rigging.

Still the most amusing fact in presidents job in gamemode is that nevertheless should direct democracy be adopted, it will still be in fact an election for dictator, (such as in ancient Greece, expect in different context.) Since President have absolute power to decide about states policies.
In summary:  Neutral. There should be more options instead of just direct democracy/Despotism on/off settlement.
If we will get rid of good guys, bad guys mentality, then I am ready give my full support for this.
