To be honest, whilst Latin is boring as FUCK and pretty much dead, it does help you understand other Stemmed-From-Latin languages (Spanish, French, English, etc.)
If you learnt it, you'd have solid grounds for making assumptions as to what words in Modern Languages mean.
But, to be honest, learning one of the Modern ones (French, Spanish, Italian, etc.) can also help you figure it out.
I'd do something like that.
Actually, no, if it were me, I'd try to learn Mandarin.

Being able to sign with some of the patrons where I work has been more worthwhile than the two years of my life wasted trying to learn Spanish.
