Might aswell contact local authorities, at least in Europe DDoS is considered illegal and arrestable.

A DDoS only becomes illegal around the point of damage at a cost of around £5,000. However, if needed the government will step in, not on a games server like this unless the set amount of damage is done.

As I said above, the government will do ALL it takes to stop this person if they do at the set amount of damage. Although we know what he is doing is wrong, you are right. They won't step in. DDoS attacks happen every day, even ones of this scale.

OT: He is just trying to help, although making things worse. I am not with this person in any way what so ever, however, I dearly hope you find a way to stop him and how he feels that he can help.

As said once by one of my friends, he is only another keyboard warrior.

Some people are completely desperate for a reason to feel important, so they make a big deal out of small things like a server in a game most people don't even play.

It has nothing to do with the government, and DDoS is illegal no matter the scope like everything else.

DOS or DDOS attacks affect a significant number of systems or cause
considerable damage, including deaths or physical injuries, or damage

The sentence for the crime would obviously be lower, compared to a DDoS on more serious services, but it's still a criminal offense!

Can someone explain the point of the attacker? I know there is more than "Social Justice" involved, these kind of people want something more.
